GATE 2026 : Important Guidelines

Photograph Requirement:

The face must cover at least 75% of the photo area.
Upload a recent, high-quality, passport-size colour photograph with a plain white background.

Signature Requirement:

On an A4 sheet, draw a rectangular box of size 2 cm × 7 cm.
Put your signature inside the box using a black or blue pen in running handwriting.

Thumb Impression Requirement:

On an A4 sheet, draw a rectangular box of size 3 cm × 5 cm.
Place your left thumb impression inside the box clearly.

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed or are currently in the final year of the following programs are eligible:
B.E. / B.Tech / B.Pharm / B.Arch / B.Sc. (Research) / B.S. / M.Sc. / M.A. / MCA / M.E. / M.Tech / Dual Degree / Integrated Programs.
